DualShock

Sony gaming pad

DualShock is Sony's line of video game controllers for PlayStation consoles, introduced in 1997 and distinguished by their vibration feedback feature that lets players feel impacts and actions in games.

The name combines "dual" (referring to the twin analog sticks) with "shock" (the rumble effect).

Successive versions accompanied each PlayStation generation, with DualShock 4 for PS4 being particularly widespread before Sony rebranded the PS5 controller as DualSense.
