Dvorak
Keyboard layout alternative
Dvorak refers to the Dvorak keyboard layout, an alternative to the standard QWERTY arrangement designed to increase typing efficiency by placing common letters on the home row.
Named for its inventor, August Dvorak, the layout has devoted users but never displaced QWERTY as the default: I switched to Dvorak and now QWERTY feels awkward.
Dvorak is also the surname of the Czech composer Antonín Dvořák.
