Like craft ales
Hoppy describes beer with a pronounced hop flavor—bitter, floral, or citrusy notes from the hops used in brewing: I prefer hoppy IPAs to malty stouts.
The term became common with the craft beer movement, where hop-forward styles dominate.
Outside beer contexts, hoppy can simply mean inclined to hop: a hoppy little rabbit.
