intercoastal
Linking two seaboards
Intercoastal means between coasts, typically referring to trade, travel, or shipping routes connecting different coastal regions of the same country: intercoastal shipping between Atlantic and Pacific ports.
The word is far less common than its near-homophone intracoastal, which refers to waterways running parallel to and protected by the coastline.
