diehards
Never give up
Diehards are people who cling stubbornly to a cause, belief, or preference long after others have abandoned it.
The term suggests both admirable loyalty and excessive resistance to change: a few diehards still insist the old system was better, diehard fans showed up despite the losing season.
As an adjective, diehard describes this unwavering commitment: a diehard conservative, a diehard Cubs fan.
