imputation
Attributed fault claim
Imputation is the act of attributing something, usually something negative, to a person or cause: The imputation of fraud damaged his reputation.
In theology, imputation refers to the crediting of righteousness or sin to someone's account—Adam's sin imputed to humanity, Christ's righteousness imputed to believers.
In statistics, imputation fills in missing data points with estimated values.
