goatherds
Tend mountain flocks
Goatherds are people who tend goats, guiding them to pasture and protecting them from predators.
The occupation is ancient and still common in mountainous or arid regions where goats thrive better than cattle or sheep.
The goatherds led their flocks down from the hills at dusk.
