glass slides
Thin sample holders
Glass slides are thin, flat pieces of glass used to hold specimens for examination under a microscope.
A sample is placed on the slide, often covered with a thinner coverslip, then positioned on the microscope stage for viewing.
The biology students prepared glass slides with onion cells.
Also called microscope slides.
