giant otter
Amazonian aquatic weasel
Giant otter is a South American freshwater mammal, the largest of the otter species, reaching up to six feet in length.
Native to rivers and wetlands of the Amazon basin, giant otters live in vocal, social family groups and hunt fish cooperatively.
They are endangered due to habitat loss and poaching: We spotted a family of giant otters on the riverbank.
