gasmask
Face-fitted air filter
A gasmask is a device worn over the face to protect against poisonous gases, smoke, or airborne contaminants.
It typically covers the nose and mouth with a filter or connects to an air supply.
Gasmasks became iconic in World War I when chemical warfare made them essential for soldiers.
Also spelled gas mask.
