SCBA
Firefighter's air supply
SCBA stands for self-contained breathing apparatus—a portable device that supplies breathable air to the wearer, typically consisting of a mask connected to a tank of compressed air worn on the back.
Firefighters wear SCBAs when entering burning buildings.
The equipment is also standard for hazmat teams and industrial workers in toxic environments: Make sure your SCBA is fully charged before entering the structure.
