gas chamber
Lethal air enclosure
A gas chamber is an enclosed space designed to kill people or animals by filling it with poison gas.
The term is most associated with the Nazi death camps, where gas chambers were used for mass murder during the Holocaust.
Gas chambers have also been used for executions in some U.S. states: The prisoner was sentenced to die in the gas chamber.
