Twisted Italian noodles
Fusilli is a type of pasta shaped into short, corkscrew spirals.
The twisted form helps sauces cling to the surface, making it popular for thick or chunky sauces: fusilli with pesto, fusilli salad.
Sometimes called rotini, though purists distinguish between the two shapes.
