angel hair
Thinnest spaghetti variety
Angel hair is an extremely thin variety of pasta, finer than spaghetti or vermicelli.
The name evokes something delicate and ethereal: Angel hair cooks in just a few minutes.
Also called capellini.
Separately, angel hair refers to fine strands of spun glass used as Christmas tree decoration, or the wispy fibers sometimes reported at UFO sighting locations.
