pomodoro

Tomato, in Rome

Pomodoro is a time-management technique that breaks work into focused intervals, traditionally 25 minutes, separated by short breaks.

Named for the tomato-shaped kitchen timer its inventor used, the method treats each interval as one pomodoro: I got three pomodoros done before lunch.

The plural is pomodoros or pomodori.
