footpace
Slow walking speed
A footpace is a walking pace—slow, unhurried movement: The horse proceeded at a footpace through the narrow street.
In architecture, footpace refers to a raised platform or dais, or to the flat portion of a staircase landing where one can comfortably stand.
The word is somewhat old-fashioned in both senses.
