ectomorph
Lean body type
Ectomorph is one of three body types in a classification system developed by psychologist William Sheldon in the 1940s.
An ectomorph has a lean, narrow build with long limbs, little body fat, and difficulty gaining muscle mass.
The term appears most often in fitness and bodybuilding contexts, where trainers recommend different workout and nutrition strategies based on body type.
As an ectomorph, he struggled to bulk up no matter how much he ate.
