endomorph
Naturally round physique
An endomorph is a person with a body type characterized by a soft, rounded build and a tendency to store fat easily.
The term comes from a mid-20th-century classification system that linked body types to temperament—endomorphs were supposedly sociable and comfort-seeking.
The personality theory is discredited, but the body-type terminology persists in fitness contexts: As an endomorph, I have to watch my carbs.
