dermatoscope
Mole examination tool
A dermatoscope is a handheld device used to examine skin lesions, moles, and other skin features under magnification and controlled lighting.
The instrument eliminates surface reflection, allowing dermatologists to see structures beneath the skin's surface that aren't visible to the naked eye: The dermatoscope revealed an irregular pigment pattern.
Also called a dermoscope.
