decoupage
Cutout varnishing craft
Decoupage is a craft technique in which paper cutouts—often from magazines, decorative paper, or printed images—are glued onto a surface and sealed with layers of varnish or lacquer to create a smooth, painted-on appearance.
The technique transforms ordinary objects like boxes, furniture, or trays into decorative pieces.
As a verb, to decoupage means to apply this technique: She decoupaged vintage postcards onto an old dresser.
