decanning
Emptying sealed containers
Decanning is the process of removing something from a can or canister.
In military and industrial contexts, it often refers to extracting personnel from armored vehicles or tanks: The troops began decanning as soon as the vehicle stopped.
The term also appears in manufacturing for removing products from cylindrical containers or molds.
