databases
Organized information stores
Databases is the plural of database, a structured collection of information stored electronically for efficient retrieval and management.
Originally a technical computing term, it now appears in everyday speech: I'll check the databases, customer databases.
Database also works as a verb meaning to enter information into such a system: We need to database these contacts.
