full-text search

Entire content lookup

Full-text search is a method of searching that examines every word in a document or database, not just titles or metadata.

Unlike keyword matching, it can find partial matches, handle synonyms, and rank results by relevance: The email client's full-text search found messages I'd forgotten about.

Common in search engines, document management systems, and database applications.
