Programmers' grouping symbols
Curly brackets are the punctuation marks and , used in pairs to enclose text or code.
In mathematics and computing, they group elements or define sets and code blocks: x | x > 0.
In casual writing, they sometimes set off parenthetical material as an alternative to parentheses or square brackets.
Also called braces.
