constellations
Celestial dot pictures
Constellations are groups of stars that form recognizable patterns in the night sky, named after mythological figures, animals, or objects: Orion, the Big Dipper, Scorpius.
Astronomers have formally designated 88 constellations that divide the celestial sphere into regions.
Figuratively, a constellation is any cluster of related things: a constellation of symptoms, a constellation of talent.
