star lore

Star lore is the body of traditional knowledge, myths, and stories that cultures have developed about stars and constellations.

It encompasses ancient navigation techniques, agricultural calendars tied to stellar positions, and the mythological narratives different peoples have projected onto the night sky.

Indigenous star lore often encodes practical wisdom about seasonal changes.

The term bridges astronomy and folklore, covering everything from Greek constellation myths to Aboriginal celestial traditions.
