zodiac constellations
Celestial birth symbols
Zodiac constellations are the twelve star patterns that lie along the ecliptic—the apparent path of the sun across the sky throughout the year.
In Western astrology, these are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces.
Each corresponds to an astrological sign, though due to precession, the constellations no longer align precisely with their namesake signs: The zodiac constellations have shifted since ancient times.
