track changes
Document edit history
Track changes is a feature in word processors that records every edit made to a document—insertions, deletions, and formatting changes—allowing collaborators to see what was modified and by whom.
The changes appear marked up in the text, typically with strikethroughs for deletions and colored underlining for additions.
Reviewers can accept or reject each change individually: Turn on track changes before you send me the draft.
The feature is essential for collaborative editing and legal document review.
