LEEP
Wire removes tissue
LEEP is a medical procedure—loop electrosurgical excision procedure—that removes abnormal tissue from the cervix using a thin wire loop heated by electric current.
It's both diagnostic and therapeutic, used after abnormal Pap smears to excise precancerous cells: The doctor recommended a LEEP after my biopsy results.
