colposcope
Gynecological viewing device
A colposcope is a magnifying instrument used to examine the cervix, vagina, and vulva for signs of disease.
The device resembles a binocular microscope on a stand, allowing close inspection of tissue that would be invisible to the naked eye.
Colposcopy is typically performed after an abnormal Pap smear to check for precancerous changes or cervical cancer.
