cloaca

Three-in-one exit

A cloaca is a single opening in birds, reptiles, amphibians, and some fish that serves as the exit for the digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems.

Unlike mammals, which have separate openings for these functions, these animals expel waste and eggs or sperm through one chamber.

The term comes from Latin for sewer, and in ancient Rome referred to the drainage system beneath the city.
