broadcast television
Free airwave channels
Broadcast television is programming transmitted over radio waves to be received by antennas, as opposed to cable or streaming services.
The term distinguishes free, publicly accessible channels from subscription-based alternatives: The game will be on broadcast television, not pay-per-view.
Major broadcast networks in the U.S. include ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox.
