bluestone
Gray-blue building material
Bluestone is any of several types of blue-gray stone used in building and paving, particularly a type of sandstone quarried in the northeastern United States for sidewalks and patios: The old brownstone had original bluestone steps.
The term also refers to blue-gray limestone and to copper sulfate crystals, which are bright blue and used in agriculture and chemistry.
In British contexts, bluestone often means the dolerite stones at Stonehenge.
