poured concrete

Liquid stone hardened

Poured concrete is concrete that has been mixed and placed into forms while liquid, then allowed to harden in place.

The term distinguishes it from precast concrete, which is molded elsewhere and transported to the site.

Most foundations, sidewalks, and driveways are poured concrete: The contractor scheduled the poured concrete for Thursday morning.
