armories

Military storage facilities

Armories is the plural of armory—buildings where weapons and military equipment are stored.

In the United States, armories also serve as headquarters and training facilities for National Guard units, and many double as civic spaces for events: The craft fair was held at the old armory.

The spelling armouries is British.
