VHS-C
Smaller camcorder tape
VHS-C is a compact videocassette format introduced in the 1980s for camcorders.
The C stands for compact—the cassettes are smaller than standard VHS tapes but use the same magnetic tape, allowing playback in regular VCRs with an adapter.
The format competed with Video8 before both were overtaken by digital recording.
