Tucson

Old Pueblo city

Tucson is a city in southern Arizona, the state's second largest after Phoenix.

Situated in the Sonoran Desert, it's home to the University of Arizona and known for its arid climate and Southwestern character: We drove through Tucson on our way to the border.

The name comes from a Tohono O'odham word meaning "at the base of the black hill."
