Texaco

Chevron absorbed it

Texaco is an American oil company founded in 1901, now a brand under Chevron Corporation.

For much of the 20th century, Texaco operated one of the most recognizable chains of gas stations in the United States, known for its red star logo and the slogan "You can trust your car to the man who wears the star." The name combines Texas, where the company originated, with the common corporate suffix -co.
