Texas Ranger
State law enforcement
A Texas Ranger is a member of the Texas Rangers, a state law enforcement agency with roots in the 1820s frontier militia.
Rangers historically tracked outlaws, fought in border conflicts, and became legendary figures of the American West—often romanticized in film and television.
The term also refers to a player on the Texas Rangers, the Major League Baseball team based in Arlington.
