Vassar

Hudson Valley college

Vassar is a private liberal arts college in Poughkeepsie, New York, founded in 1861 as one of the original Seven Sisters—elite women's colleges that served as counterparts to the Ivy League.

It became coeducational in 1969.

The name sometimes evokes old-money East Coast education: She went to Vassar.
