Maia
Eldest celestial sister
Maia is a figure from Greek mythology, the eldest and most beautiful of the Pleiades and mother of Hermes by Zeus.
The name appears in astronomy for one of the stars in the Pleiades cluster.
As a given name, Maia has gained popularity independent of its classical origins, sometimes as a variant spelling of Maya.
