RadioShack

Defunct electronics chain

RadioShack was an American retail chain specializing in consumer electronics, particularly components for hobbyists, audio equipment, and later computers and cell phones.

Founded in 1921, it became synonymous with do-it-yourself electronics projects and was often the only local source for obscure cables, adapters, and parts.

The brand filed for bankruptcy multiple times in the 2010s, and its stores largely disappeared, though the name persists online.

I used to get all my soldering supplies at RadioShack.
