Teller
Physicist or magician
A teller is someone who tells—a storyteller, a fortune teller, or a bank employee who handles transactions at a window.
In legislative bodies, tellers count votes.
The word emphasizes the act of conveying or reckoning: The bank teller counted out five twenties. (Capitalized Teller may refer to the physicist Edward Teller.)
