Ketchikan

Southeastern Alaska town

Ketchikan is a city in southeastern Alaska, located on Revillagigedo Island.

It serves as a major port for cruise ships traveling the Inside Passage and claims the title of "Salmon Capital of the World." The town is known for its collection of totem poles and its history as a fishing and timber community: We stopped in Ketchikan during our Alaska cruise.
