Talladega

Superspeedway in Alabama

Talladega is a city in Alabama, best known for Talladega Superspeedway, one of NASCAR's most famous tracks.

The speedway's steep banking and long straightaways produce some of the fastest and most dangerous racing in the sport: We're driving down to Talladega for the race this weekend.

The name comes from a Creek word meaning "border town."
