meet and greet
Celebrity introduction event
A meet and greet is an organized opportunity to meet someone notable—a celebrity, politician, athlete, or performer—usually briefly and in a controlled setting: The concert ticket included a meet and greet with the band.
The term also applies to casual gatherings where people introduce themselves to one another: a meet and greet for new employees.
