road course
Track with turns
A road course is a racing circuit that incorporates turns in both directions, elevation changes, and varied corner types—as opposed to an oval track where drivers turn only one way.
Road courses may be purpose-built facilities or temporary circuits using public streets: The Grand Prix runs on a downtown road course.
In American motorsport, road course events test different skills than oval racing.
