street circuit
City road track
A street circuit is a motorsport racecourse laid out on public roads that are temporarily closed for racing.
Unlike purpose-built tracks, street circuits wind through city centers with their existing infrastructure—curbs, barriers, and tight corners: The Monaco Grand Prix runs on the most famous street circuit in the world.
The surface is typically bumpier and less forgiving than dedicated racetracks.
