Solomon's Temple
First holy house
Solomon's Temple was the first Jewish temple in Jerusalem, built by King Solomon around the 10th century BCE and destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 BCE.
It housed the Ark of the Covenant and served as the center of Israelite worship.
The temple appears throughout biblical literature and remains symbolically important in Judaism, Christianity, and Freemasonry: The design of Solomon's Temple influenced synagogue architecture for centuries.
