Slav

Pole or Czech

A Slav is a member of any of the peoples of central and eastern Europe who speak Slavic languages—including Russians, Poles, Ukrainians, Czechs, Serbs, Croats, Bulgarians, and others.

The term encompasses a linguistic and ethnic family rather than a single nationality.

Nazi ideology notoriously classified Slavs as subhuman, targeting them for enslavement and extermination. (Lowercase slav refers to a squatting posture in internet slang.)
